Happy New Year from us all at Atlantic Horizons!
What can we say about 2020?! It was a very strange year for all of us to say the least and we feel for anyone who has suffered, individually, businesses, families of all circumstance. We hope that 2021 is a positive and more"free" year for everyone.
Reflecting on last year, we had to move a lot quicker to accommodate the new regulations of Covid 19. Huge changes had to be made and many of our plans went out the window. We had to ensure that all of our guests and staff were safe whilst also trying to create a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience. Inevitably, as a new site and with the added pressure of Covid, there were some mistakes made along the way of which we have taken a lot from and are using it constructively in our planning for this year.
We will now have full use of our main field (The Meadow) which has had huge improvements to the drainage for those wetter days. Our glampers will have use of this field with their own eco-friendly toilet and shower facilities. There will still of course be our main shower and toilet block at the top of the field for all guests.
While we appreciate that it is lovely to have a powerful, hot shower and proper toilet when on your camping experience, we are also very conscious about trying to make our site as eco- friendly as we can. We feel it supports our own personal view of living and our amazing surroundings. We feel there is nothing better on a hot sunny day when you have been on the beach or dipping in the sea pool to come back and have a refreshing outdoor shower overlooking miles of beautiful scenery! We hope you enjoy that experience as much as we do.
The top field will now accommodate our standard camping pitches. The pitches will be clearly marked and we have their own allocated eco washroom (compost loo and battery operated shower).
***Exciting News***
We currently have two new and exciting additions to the site for 2021......................
Two beautifully bespoke shepherds huts are in the making for Easter. The huts are being made in our barn and are already looking amazing with thanks to Charlie. The windows are in, paint, fixtures and fittings have been chosen and log burner arrived. Both of our huts will be wheelchair accessible and available to book all year round.

We are planting trees this year! We are in a prime location on the beautiful North Cornish Coast and we aim to attract more wildlife to our site so we will be planting a variety of trees of which we will see flourish in the coming years.
