About Us
We are a friendly glamping and camping site set in the beautiful natural surroundings of the North Cornish coast and countryside allowing for a quiet getaway or family break.
Atlantic Horizons aims to offer the camping experience but without the hassle. Supplying you with everything you need for a relaxing yet comfortable glamping experience. We understand how the issues of packing and unpacking can be for you, especially after a long drive, therefore we feel that it is important to remove any challenges by providing you with a variety of glamping packages to suit your needs.
We host a number of fully furnished Bell Tents, one Glamping Pod and one bespoke Shepherd's Hut, with comfortable beds, fresh linen, fluffy pillows as well as all the cooking facilities, kitchenware and fire pit needed for that 'al fresco' dining experience. For a basic option we also offer a simple 'Lundy' bell tent that comes only with camp beds to allow you to enjoy the glamping experience but at a reduced price.
Our Vision
We have a number of principles that we aim to stand by as our project grows:
To provide a sense of detachment from everyday life and return to the simplicity yet comfort of luxury camping
To create an environmental and sustainable site
To provide new opportunities and experiences for all our guests
Our Philosophy
Atlantic Horizons was established in 2019 by brothers Brad Olde and Alex Boardman. During the recovery period of a serious incident where Bradley suffered a cardiac arrest, discussions began between the two brothers about how they wanted to set up a glamping site that could offer respite for carers and activities for young people who had suffered brain injuries. Brad knew all too well about the new challenges that he faced as a young person with a brain injury and wanted to do something that could support others. Alex, an active secondary school teacher shared Brad’s vision and together with their families, Atlantic Horizons was born.
Hospitality is an industry that both Brad and Alex have many years of experience, from working in the French mountains during the winter season, as well as many years of working in hotels and the running of a local mountain-boarding centre. Growing up in North Cornwall we see adventurous activities as part of our daily lives as well as our passion and we want to share our expertise with those who want to visit this beautiful part of the UK.
