We are currently looking at dates for September and these will be posted on here as soon as they have been secured. However, we are governed by the current covid-19 pandemic and we will be closely monitoring this situation.
Come and enjoy early Autumn at our guided running retreat located in the breathtaking North Cornwall and Devon coastline.
This running retreat will suit a wide variety of runners from tarmac to trail'ers and novice to experienced runners, there is something here for everyone. The retreat will predominantly capture the essence of the South West Coast Path visiting idyllic locations such as Clovelly, Hartland Quay and the picturesque town of Bude.
My name is Alex Boardman and I have lived in North Cornwall for 40 years and understand
the terrain and challenges of the South West Coast Path. In my short running career, I have completed a number of Ultra running events from Puretrail's Dartmoor Crossing in 2017, Tsunami Ultra and Pennine 50 in 2018 and most recently Lulworth Ultra and Tsunami 24 2019.
The inspiration behind this running retreat was formed from a number of conversations with runners who had visited the North Cornwall/Devon area, whose sole purpose was to tackle some of the challenging sections this path has to offer. However, it does also have some fantastic sections that make for comfortable and enjoyable outing. Atlantic Horizons would like to offer you the opportunity to join me on the trails and gain some local knowledge of the coast path as well as guidance on trail running technique, practical running nutrition, race preparation and injury prevention.
